Please say a prayer.

Please pray for my family as they morn the loss of my cousin Chasity and her unborn baby.

I grew going to my aunt Stephanie and uncle Brent's house on the weekend. I loved to watch My aunt Stephanie take care of her two babies Chad and Chasity. I used to pretend Chasity was my baby. They are a big part of the reason I love kids.
Chasity was killed by a hit and run driver, she was seven months pregnant. She leaves behind her two year old daughter Ava.
Also say a prayer for the good Samaritan Nelson Soto that was helping her. He was killed as he assisted Chasity with her car. He leaves behind a wife and five children. His wife and son witnessed the accident outside of their home. We truly do not know what our future holds. Chasity was twenty four years old, I am sure she thought she had many years left.

So you, too, must keep watch! For you do not know the day or hour of my return.
Matt. 25:13

Lord help me to live each day as if there is no promise of tomorrow because there truly is not.  I will squeeze my babies tight today I will remember to say I love you as I walk out the door. I will thank you Jesus as I lay down and everyone under my roof is safe. I will remember that life is a gift and there are no grantees. I will praise you for Heaven when all will finally be as it should, perfect and no goodbyes.

I have been really struggling, but I have learned that
in the darkest times God is still with me.
Jesus truly is the strength of my heart. When everyone fails me and I fail others and myself, he is still here.

When my heart was grieved
and my spirit embittered,
I was senseless and ignorant;
I was a brute beast before you.
Yet I am always with you;
you hold me by my right hand.
You guide me with your counsel,
and afterward you will take me into glory.
Whom have I in heaven but you?
And earth has nothing I desire besides you.
My flesh and my heart may fail,
but God is the strength of my heart
and my portion forever.
Psalms 73: 21-26

When the world is tucked in tight, dreaming fast asleep.
When the tears flow endlessly and seem to never cease.
When loneliness fills my soul and the darkness is closing in.
My sweet Jesus it is then, you are truly my best of friends.

You may never know that JESUS is all you need,
until JESUS is all you have.

LINK UP and Freindships

My thoughtful friend Kristy wrote Jonathan's name in
Portsmouth, N.H. on her vacation. I love it so much !
It means the world to me when some one thinks of, or remembers Jonathan.
Jonathan's name with some Heavenly friends
If you have never met Kristy you should stop by her blog and say hi she is a really sweet, amazing person.
I am so blessed by her friendship and so many others. The online Baby loss community is truly remarkable! Their love and support never ceases to amaze me. Thank you dear friends!

Grief knits two hearts in closer bonds than happiness ever can; and common sufferings are far stronger links than common joys.
-- Alphonse de Lamartine

Speaking of friends I want to let you know about these
amazing girls.
Cradled by love, hope & healing
Three ladies came together with the vision of reaching out to Baby loss moms in their community. They offer support services and education at no cost. They have lots of resources available to folks in the central Texas area. They also offer email support for those outside of their area. I encourage you to check out the sight and feel free to contact them with questions.

I know first hand the need for support, anything we can do to comfort each other is so very important.

No rules, You can link your home page,
just be sure to stop by a few blogs and encourage each other!

Life With A TEEN

Even a child is known by his doings, whether his work be pure, and whether it be right.
 ~Proverbs 20:11

There are a couple reasons I wanted to do this post. One, this is my scrapbook and I want to spread the love over my kids. As much as I am consumed by Jonathan, I need to reflect and write about the others as well. (I have to say, as I prepared the pictures for this post, I cried many times thinking of all the moments I will miss with Jonathan.) Two, as a young mother I was terrified of having a teenager. Seriously I remember crying on Little Jimmy's first birthday that soon He would be a teenager :) I remember hearing teenage HORROR stories and dreading those upcoming years. I want to bring hope to other young mommies, that the teen years are fun!
I wish someone would of given me that hope.

Mommy and Jimmy over 14 years ago

Jimmy was such a sweet child and people would always tell me how good he was. However a lot of those encouragement were followed by "just wait until he is a teen" Implying look out, it's HELL. I was really sad over these Domesday prophecies, like 12 was going to be our last "good" year.

Well my guy did turn 12, 13, 14 and soon 15 and he is as sweet as ever! I have to say, because he is a boy, our relationship has changed some. He just has more to talk about with his Dad, but he always makes an effort to include me. He still will walk up out of the blue and give me a hug and kiss, it always makes my heart sing! We have gone on a couple of outings alone, where we practice how he should treat a lady and how to talk to her.

Right now He is really close with his Dad they are like peanut butter and jelly. I am kind of like the napkin {useful} and he is really thankful I am there when he needs me:)

When my husband's dad was very sick with cancer I asked him......"Where dose your mom fit in, I mean I know you adore your Dad, as a grown man how do you feel about your mom?" Let me just say I already know my husband loves his mom, to the moon and back! I wanted to hear his perspective as an adult. Hey when your a mom of many boys you need to know they will still love you when they are men. His response really blessed my heart. He said...."My Dad had all the answer, I went to him to find out what to do and how to do it. My mom had all the heart she held us together with her love. SHE IS EVERYTHING"! My mommies heart let out a sigh of relief ahhhh. My boys will ALWAYS love me and need me, just in different ways.

Here are some quality traits that I love about Jimmy right now

  • He is extremely helpful, even looking for ways before he is asked.
  • He is compassionate and thinks of others feelings.
  • He is a peacemaker today he told me...."I love to study war tactics mom, but I am a peaceful guy. Like papa said there is a beast inside, but you have to keep him in the cage."LOL
  • He loves to cook and serve his family!
  • He is preparing for a future wife by writing her letters and praying for her. I read one letter all I can say is she will be one BLESSED girl:)
  • He loves his sibling and protect them fiercely.
  • He respects his dad and me, he show it in his attitude and tone of voice!
  • He loves Jesus with all of his heart, soul, mind, and strength.

A few pictures of Jimmy through the years.
