Big owie on my little girl.

We were on our way to the beach yesterday and ended up at the doctor instead. Shayla spilled a Cup 0f Noodles down her chest. We went into the doctor to have the burn dressed. She has quiet a few blisters and it covered a pretty big area. She went back today to change the bandage. The doctor mentioned she might have to see a reconstructive skin surgeon depending on how it healed, uuugg. SO we are praying hard for a quick and complete recovery. We are also thanking God that it did not spill on her face. She was in a lot of pain the first couple of hours but now she is really fine just irritated at the bandage. Thank you Jesus that it was not worse.
Her best cry face, really she just wanted some ice cream :)
Yep mommy said yes!

Aww, poor baby girl. :( I'm glad she wasn't burned in more places as well. I'm glad she's not in bad pain still. I bet she is annoyed having that big bandage wrapped around her, I would be too. :) She's probably sad she missed the beach. I will keep her in my prayers.

Poor little thing! :( My nine year old daughter was burned badly on her hand a few weeks ago and it was no fun as it healed. But she has recovered nicely and I'll say a prayer that your little sweetie does, too!

After all she went through, she's still smiling!!

This happened to me when I was 16; spilled a cup of those noodles just after pouring the boiling water in. All over my stomach and arm; had 2nd degree burns; it healed up great and I don't even have any kind of scar.

Praying for your sweet girl!

It's so scary how easy it is for our babies to get burned!!! I am so sorry! I'm always afraid of this when I'm cooking with my kids!
I got a severe burn from steam one time...and my kids were right next to me...I felt so blessed that it was me!
I'll pray for her!

I was telling my husband about Shayla and he told me his oldest daughter,Tabitha fell into a pot belly woodburning stove, (the side of it).He had just built a fire of wood and coal it was blazing red, like a maroon red and the stove was org. black she fell into the side of it.It took the skin from below the elbow to the top of her shoulder you could hear it sizzling he said.He rushed her to the hospital and they used silverdine (if I spelled it right) he used it a couple of weeks and she has no scarring plus it reduced the pain.I don't know if that is the cream they gave you for Shayla or not but it would not hurt to ask for it,it would be alot better then going through surgeries that may not have to be.Raymond thought for sure Tabitha would need surgery it looked so bad,but she didn't and no scar left anywhere! Keep us all updated and we are praying for her.

Oh my goodness, poor girl! I hate when my children get hurt, especially something as painful as your precious daughter went through. Prayers are with her that everything will be alright and heal quickly! ((hugs))

Ouchie!

Thankfully children's skin is so much more resilient than us older people! When my son was about a year old he dumped scalding milk tea on his arm. All of his skin came off and it was so horrible! We were in Mongolia at the time and there were no burn units or specialists for this sort of thing. So, we prayed. And prayed.

And I dressed it with essential oils and fresh gauze and prayed some more.

He's eight years old now. You cannot even see where it happened. Miraculous, really.

May your little one likewise have a miraculous recovery!!!!
