School's Out!

Yeaaa we finished school last Thursday!!!! I can't believe it, I made it through our first year of high school with all the required credits:)! We went out for our favorite ice cream to celebrate, Cold Stone!
Then we took a walk on the pier.

I am really relived to be resting from all the school work. The last few weeks were grueling but getting to be home with my kids all day is SO worth it!

The Lord will fulfill his purpose for me; your steadfast love, O Lord, endures forever. Do not forsake the work of your hands

All Our Goings-On

The last few days and the next few are slightly crazy.  We are finishing our last week of homeschooling, Thursday and it is oh so busy. My days have been filled with Algebra and Science. Because Jimmy was behind he has been working ALL day for many days in a row, however the end is in sight!!!

I am still struggling with anxiety and fear over the baby, especially at night. I also have been particularly sad over Jonathan. It is so difficult I can not even talk about it or put it in to words. To help cope I have been taking nightly walks by myself or with Jo Jo in the stroller. On walks I can think and pray. I often sing worship songs, which gets me some pretty funny looks. Last night on our walk Jo Jo sang with me the whole time and how beautiful his sweet mumbles are! In other attempts to calm my heart I have been reading the Bible every night before bed and having the kids pray for me.

Today is our Church's Annual Walk To Africa, the boys will be running/walking this year. I am so proud of the impact we have in Africa. It is my dream to take Jimmy on one of the trips... maybe in a couple of years:)

In the midst of all the work we are still finding time to enjoy the sunshine and head to the park.

Venice Arts Ceremony

Last Saturday the boys had the closing ceremony for their Art/Film making class. We took the whole family. Truly I was not expecting that much. However I was BLOWN away by the beautiful work my boys had created. Jesse's animated comics were printed in a book and hung on the wall. Jesse also did animated short movies. Jimmy's Films were shown in the grand finale on the big screen. I was so PROUD of them!

Jimmy made two Amazing movies. One was a documentary about Jesse skateboarding and the other was supposed to be a debate between him (a Christian ) and a fellow student (an atheist). I really did not know what to expect from that one. I was running around the studio trying to keep up with Joseph when all of the sudden I heard a strong, proud voice proclaiming Jesus Christ over the speakers. I looked at the video screen and there was our Jimmy. We were seriously PROUD parents that day!

More AWESOME videos to come.

“Thus says the LORD:
Let not the wise man glory in his wisdom,
Let not the mighty man glory in his might,
Nor let the rich man glory in his riches;
But let him who glories glory in this,
That he understands and knows Me,
That I am the LORD, exercising lovingkindness, judgment, and righteousness in the earth.
For in these I delight,” says the LORD. ”

A Blessed Mother's Day

We started the day with a wonderful church service!

Next we headed to Mam's house for a yummy BBQ of carne asada. Made by my sweet boys!:)
Ha, we told Jim Jim these would make it in his wedding video:)
LOL things got pretty silly:)
After lunch we had yummy cake and presents! My favorite...
the sweet homemade cards!

To finish a perfect day we headed to the beach to let the kids play and enjoy a sunset walk.

I am so thankful for my wonderful family that went out of their way to make Mother's Day special! I am so blessed!

How happy is everyone who fears the Lord, who walks in His ways! You will surely eat what your hands have worked for. You will be happy, and it will go well for you...May the Lord bless you from Zion, so that you will see the prosperity of Jerusalem all the days of your life, and will see your children's children.
