Art and Sport

My boys just started their Art/Film making classes again. I realized last year I never posted Jimmy's video about Jesse Skateboarding. I just have to say I am so PROUD of my boys! Jimmy did a great Job on this documentary about his brother and Jesse is a ripper at skating!

Jimmy's film "Religious Debate" just got entered into the Austin Film Festival. Films are submitted from all over the country and only 21 make it into the festival and Jimmy's made it!

This year Jimmy is in the advanced film class and Jesse is in intermediate film and comic classes. On top of that I am taking the boys to the skate park three days a week at lunch time. They have all gotten better and they love the midday break. It also gives Jojo and Shayla an opportunity to get all their energy out before nap.

BTW baby is still cooking. Although I had a tone of contractions Saturday night, every 5 min for an hour and a half then they stopped. Baby brother still has no name. Can't wait to find out who this little boy is!

36 weeks / Revival

I am hanging in there going to the hospital every other day to be monitored. Yesterday the baby had some decels in his heart rate and he did not move much for two hours, so I was there a LONG time. I was so worried when I left but thankfully he has been really active since then, easing my fears. I will get my induction date next Wednesday, I am relived we are so close now. We have been super busy working on the house, Homeschooling and getting ready for baby brother.

We had Revival this week with one of our favorite Pastors (Pastor Josh). It was Awesome to hear sermons and get refreshed by the word of God. It was also nice to fellowship with our mother Church. This is such a busy church season for us, the marriage retreat is next week and our Harvesters Homecoming is just around the corner. I am so excited, I just hope I have enough energy to make it through everything with a newborn.
The boys had fun dressing up for church this week:)
Two weeks to go!!!

Fill us at daybreak with your love, that all our days we may sing for joy.

Baby Update 35 weeks *Updated*

So I have to add to my last post. I went to the Dr today and my blood pressure was 155/105. They gave me medication and sent me to fetal diagnostics at the hospital, to be monitored. My blood pressure went down and the baby is OK but I will be getting monitored three times a week until 38 weeks when they will induce me.

I am praying that God knows the perfect timing that our baby should arrive and that he would deliver him at just that time. I have to confess I wish it was sooner rather than later because I feel like he would be safer in the hands of Doctors than in my belly. Yet I know that God knows what is best and I trust in him to help them make decisions. I have been very sick all day from the medication and feeling pretty weary and worried. Prayers are appreciated.

When I am afraid, I will trust in you. In God, whose word I praise, in God I trust; I will not be afraid.

Baby Update 35 weeks

I am 35 weeks! I actually gave birth to Jadon and Jojo in my 35th week. Jadon because of  IUGR and other complications and Jojo due to a stone stuck in my ureter. Shayla was induced at 36 weeks (IUGR/blood pressure) and Jesse right before 37 weeks (blood pressure). I had NO say in any of these induction, the decision was made by my doctor because it was best for the baby. I am happy to report there is no talk of induction yet, as my blood pressure is being well controlled by medication.

Baby Brother is  doing good, monitored by regular ultrasounds. His weight is very light, last week coming in at 3 Lb 14 oz but his overall measurements are just a week behind. So he is basically long and skinny.

I have been feeling really awful due to blood pressure medication. It does not agree with me and gives me an upset stomach and a feeling of anxiety. I am also on a couple of bladder medications, they are not really helping at this point and I am in lots of pain. I was diagnosed with a bladder condition called Interstitial Cystitis last year and pregnancy aggravates it. I also have scaring from stones and surgery  Nighttime is particularly trying because the baby moves more and puts pressure on my bladder.

I have gained a little over 20 lbs, at one point more than that but the blood pressure meds made me loses a few pounds. Still I am heavier than I have been in my last three pregnancy's. All those fried green tomatoes in Tennessee:)

I am in full blown nesting mode wanting to clean and get rid of everything. I just remodeled Shayla's and my closets and cleaned under every bed. We cleaned out the garage and I reorganized all the cabinet's in the kitchen. I think we are starting a small bathroom remodel this week which will make a mess but will be so worth it in the end.

I am craving Popsicle's and Ice Cream (Cold Stone, birthday cake). I really don't like the taste of meat and mostly avoid it. We got a new juicer and I have been drinking carrot and pineapple juice (my favorite) daily. I love soup right now and can not tolerate really spicy food.

I am SO excited to hold this little boy!!! I dream of him heavy and soft on my chest. I love newborns wrapped up like little burritos, oh I can't wait:)! I have to admit I have felt sad and far from Jonathan lately but that is another post entirely. I feel confident that he is smiling on us happy to be be a big brother.

Glory in his holy name; let the hearts of those who seek the Lord rejoice!

The Baby Name Game.

We still have NO name for our new little baby brother. We have gotten quite good at the baby name game, where we all go around and lobby for the name we like and why. Everyone has some input at this point and wants to chime in about what his name should be. Honestly I do not feel we are any closer to picking one that the day we found out he was a he.

So for fun and my memory I want to list all the names that have been voted for, by who and what they mean.

Mommy
Jeffrey (Jeff )-- God's peace
Jonah-- a dove
Jace --'healer'and 'God is my salvation'. best meaning for sure!

Daddy

Jedidiah (Jedi)-- beloved of the Lord
Jeremiah --exalted of the Lord

Jordan (Jordy) --to descend, to flow

Jimmy
Julian --youthful
Jude --praise

Jesse
Juan-God is gracious
Jacob
 -held by the heel

Jadon
John-- God is merciful
Micheal...what?:)

Shayla
cutie pie

Other suggestions from family we have considered

Joshua --Jehovah saves

Jeremy-- God will uplift, appointed by God
Justin --just, true
Jace--recommended by aunt W
Jacob  (wanted by Mam, Nana and Jesse. Nana wants to call him Rowdy Jake)

By far he has been called Juan pronounced (Wahn) more that anything. The boys love to tease me and call him that ALL the time. Jimmy admitted that he is joking but Jesse still insists he wants us to name him Juan. By the way Juan translated to English is John.

I can not believe it but we absolutely do not know what we will call this little boy???

I am sure God will speak to us and when we meet him we will know who he is!

But now thus says the Lord, he who created you, O Jacob, he who formed you, O Israel: “Fear not, for I have redeemed you; I have called you by name, you are mine

Christian Surfers Camping Trip

The boys had a blast camping last weekend. They surfed, heard Bible studies and watched baptisms. They were stoked on good waves and got to surf a great break called lowers at trestles in Northern San Diego.
I guess the view was beautiful but the actual camp spot was on a very dusty, hot lot. There stuff was all so dirty.
They were on a military base.
Jimmy and Jesse resting after an epic surf session. Jesse's foot got cut, they actually all came home with cuts because of the rock beach.
A afternoon nap to beat the heat.
A mosquito got trapped in the tent and really liked Jesse. They found the culprit dead from overeating:)
I am so very thankful for my awesome husband, he cherishes his boys and invest so much time and love into raising them. They came home dirty, cut up and exhausted but oh so happy and with so many wonderful memories!

And he will turn the hearts of fathers to their children and the hearts of children to their fathers Malachi 4:6

A Laboring Weekend

I have spent Labor Day weekend nesting with my little ones. The big boys headed down South to a Christian Surfers camp-out.  Since I have no car I thought it was the perfect time to get some chores done. I spent one day organizing photos on a hard drive, all the way back to 2006. Yesterday  I organized and washed little brothers clothes. I have not bought much, we have lots of boy stuff:I love seeing all the sweet little things my other boys wore. I have put up a few special things for each boy to keep that won't get passed down.
One recent Ross find I could not resist! Can't wait to see sweet baby brother in this.
It has been SO HOT here, really I do not remember it ever being this hot. Being pregnant does not help. We've never had air conditioning and truly do not need it, we have the Pacific Ocean breeze! However these last few days I have been pretty miserable, even sleeping in the living room so the ceiling fan can cool me a little. My one life saver, Popsicle!
These are my favorite!! I just ate the last one and seriously I am craving one already.
As for the little ones they have been having fun helping mommy organize baby clothes and eat Popsicles. Shayla is always in a dress even if the house is ninety degrees.

Jojo gave me a good wake up our first morning alone, he locked himself in the bathroom. Usually the boys can unlock it but I could not figure it out. After a few minutes of coaxing I got him out with an ice cream bribe, yes at 8am. He thought it was pretty funny because he did it many more times throughout the day. What was he doing when the door was locked ...putting on lipstick that was really mascara. LOL
I was planing on doing some serious cleaning and organizing today but if the heat holds out I will probably just take it easy.

You will eat the fruit of your labor; blessings and prosperity will be yours
